Bath Time

So until this month Jackson has been getting baths in a sling contraption in the kitchen sink.  Now that he has more head control we are giving him baths in his whale tub Ms. Angela gave him.  Although you can not tell in the pictures he actually likes bath time.  Bath time is daddy Jackson time.

MMMMM ..... Rice Cereal

So after Jackson's 4 month appt the Dr let us know it was okay to start giving Rice Cereal.  It is safe to say Jackson did not care for it at all!

We are thankful for so very much

A little late on this post but silly me forgot to put the SD card in the camera on Thanksgiving.  Thankfully the camera has internal memory so Jackson's first Thanksgiving pictures were not lost! However the cord to download the pictures from my cameras internal memory was lost.  Jason being the sweet husband that he is ordered me a new one.  And wouldn't you know the day the new cord got here we found he old one! Ha isn't that how it always goes.

Jackson's first Thanksgiving was very eventful! If you know me you know that the holidays are not a time for rest.  We woke up early and I made breakfast.  We got little man dressed and loaded ourselves and he pups in the car.  First stop Gigi's "Jason's mom, Pat. We dropped off the pups and our overnight bags and headed to Irving.  We had lunch at my grandmothers house (moms mom).  We left Irving to head to Fort Worth to have dinner at my uncles with my dads family.  Then from Fort Worth back to Lewisville to hang with Gigi and Aunt Ashley! whew tired just typing it all.

We are so unbelievably thankful for all of the blessings we have been given over this past year.  We have incredible family and friends and lots of it as you can see.  Over the past year we have weathered a lot of storms.  If we have learned anything over the past year it has been to THANK the Lord for the good times and for the bad.  If you can not thank him for the storms how can you really appreciate the blessings! We are so so thankful for all of the struggles we had to endure to start a family.  We grew closer as a couple and had to lean on God and family to get through it all.  We had the opportunity to share our story and testimony with others who were struggling and had suffered what we had gone through.  After losing 2 angel babies, we now have our precious Jackson.  We appreciate every moment with him. Ive even caught myself wishing he would wake up from a nap so I could cuddle and love on him. We are thankful for every moment the Lord gives us with him.

Jackson's Newborn Photos

Jasons best friend Brent Smith is an amazing photographer.  He has been our photographer for all of our speical moments in life.  Brent did my bridal portriats and edited all of our wedding photos and video for us.  He was Jasons best man so we had a colleague of his shoot the actual wedding.  Brent made the pictures come alive though!   So when we needed newborn photos we knew exactly who to call. Brent did the photos in our living room and they are AMAZING!!! I have recieved so many compliments on them.  Here are some of our favorites

Jackson is actually sitting in my softball glove! My future ball player!

This was the one shot Jason was the most excited about.  I love that it celebrates our love!

After we finished the shoot Jackson was asleep on me.  Brent got the camera back out and took these shots of him.  He made this adorable collage.  LOVE IT!!

This of course is one of Jason's favorites.

Please check our Brents website at http://www.fivetwelvestudios.com/ .  He is so great to work with and does an amazing job.  He is located in Austin but travels all over to do what he loves.  Trust me you will not be sorry if you use him to capture your special moments.

Maternity Pictures

Our good friend Jennifer Roush did my maternity pictures and they turned out GREAT!!!  Here are a few of my favorites.

I love that she incorporated Jackson's nursery.

This is my favorite one of Jason and I. We had so much fun!

This one was Jackson's favorite. As soon as I laid down and got the blocks on my belly Jackson started to kick.  I wish we could have caught the blocks moving on video.

Jennifer did an amazing job!! If you are looking for someone to do family portraits, maternity photos or pictures of your little ones she is the great.  She is in Dallas.  Her hubby is a fantastic DJ too! He was recently featured on TLC's Four Weddings.   Let me know if you would like either of their contact information.

How It All Began

Jason and I met the summer of 2004.  I was home from Baylor for the summer doing an internship.  I transferred to the TGI Fridays in Plano.  Jason worked at Fridays during the summers while he was not teaching.  I saw him my first day there and was immediately smitten.  By the end of that summer we were dating.

On September 3rd 2005, on top of a castle in Central Park, Jason asked for me to spend the rest of my life with him.  December 29th 2006 we were married.  We will celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary this December! The past 6 1/2 years have been absolutely amazing.  I have loved and laughed more than I have ever thought possible. We have been on so many adventures and cant wait to go on many more.

We have been blessed beyond our wildest dreams.  With all great stories comes trials. In 2008 Jason and I decided to start a family. After a few months of trying we were happy to find out we were pregnant.  We went to our first appointment at about 6 weeks and saw our little bean on the big screen.  It was too soon to hear a heart beat but we could see it just a beating.  Several weeks later at what would have been about 9 weeks we went back for a routine appointment and found that our little bean stopped growing at about 6 weeks 2 days.  As you can imagine we were heart broken.  We decided to wait awhile to try again. We needed time to heal.

In the summer of 2009 the day after we got home from a trip to Mexico we found out we were pregnant again.  We went in pretty immediately and we could tell things did not look good.  We miscarried our second child in August of 2009.  We wanted a family and wanted to know what was going on.  If you know me, you know how determined I can get when I want something.  Our amazing OB immediately started to run tests to see what was going on.  We soon found out that I had a clotting disorder. On December 4th 2009 we were blessed with a 3rd pregnancy.  Jackson Reid Sharp was born July 29th 2010! Praise God.
